Tertiary Education
It consists of University education, Technical & Further Education (TAFE) and Vocational Education & Training (VET). Australia has total 43 universities amongst which 40 of it is operated by the Australian Government, 2 are international universities and 1 is a private university.
With each passing years the number of students enrolled in TAFE & VET are increasing, they are searching more of skilled development studies rather than University degree. Another reason for it may be lower fee structure. Short courses, certificate courses, diplomas and advanced diplomas are offered to the students.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The general criteria that every student must fulfill in order to get admission in Australian Universities are;
For Under-graduate/ Post-graduate programs, minimum IELTS score required is 6.0 & 6.5, not less than 6 in each section.
15 years of education from a recognized under-graduate universities or institute
Strong Academic background (involvement in extra-circular activities, adds a credit)
